Strategy – Develop and deploy an Test Engineering strategy to deliver Customer Service Excellence and Operational Excellence. Communicate the strategy to ensure alignment and unity of purpose across all of Manufacturing Solutions. Drive strategy execution; establish and monitor metrics to assess effectiveness.
Community of Practice – Develop and maintain a Community of Practice (CoP) at the global, regional and site levels. Leverage the CoP to develop and effectively execute the strategy. Use the CoP to obtain stakeholder input on various issues and as a conduit to implement initiatives, standard work and functional management responsibilities at the regional and local levels
Standard Models – Build flexible time-standard, costing, and operational models that enable clear measures of productivity, optimized ergonomics and minimization of non-value added activities.
Standard Processes and Tools – Deliver a standardized approach for Manufacturing Test Engineering. Provide policy and guidance to ensure ManufacturingTest Engineering delivers operational excellence as a foundation to delivering customer service excellence while growing Plexus’ profitable revenue. Develop and deploy standard practices and tools for the conduct of Manufacturing Test Engineering. Drive alignment of Manufacturing Test Engineering practices across regions. Ensure best practices are shared and adopted across regions.
Functional Talent Development – Articulate a guiding vision to create a strong global manufacturing team Engineering team. Provide overarching policy and guidance for professional and technical development of Manufacturing Test Engineers. Collaborate with Training and Development experts to define training and education needs; ensure training is created and delivered.
Define, execute & continuously evolve the Manufacturing Test Engineering Strategy. Establish and maintain a global network to successfully execute the strategy across all levels, global, regional, site
Engage stakeholders in Manufacturing Test engineering strategy formulation; demonstrate through appropriate metrics how the strategy helps transition Plexus through continuous improvement to Customer Service Excellence and Operational Excellence
Build the Manufacturing Test Engineering Teams capability, through articulating the vision, establishing effective tools and standard work, capabilities and ensuring that the support structures are in place to meet both the organisations skill requirements as well as peoples’ career needs.

Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required.
Experience of 7 years (s) is required for this position, assuming education requirements are met. Equivalent industry experience of 10 or more years is highly desirable.
Detailed knowledge of manufacturing test principals through training and/or hands on experience is necessary for success in this role.
Proven ability to influence others, including relationship-building, conflict resolution and leadership competencies as defined by the company. Ability to lead without formal authority.
