SMTS FPGA PLATFORM DESIGN ENGINEER

THE ROLE

A FPGA Platform Engineer?s responsibility working on innovative FPGA platforms for debug and validation solutions. In this role, you will get the opportunity part of a collaborative team designing and bringing up FPGA Solutions with High Speed IO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of FPGA solution and key features
  • Leading the bring up of your FPGA solution and working in a collaborate with the team on debug
  • Collaboration with FPGA team on design requirements and reviews
  • Writes and reviews detailed technical documentation.
  • Integrating FPGA platforms into build infrastructure
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency with Verilog and/or System Verilog
  • 5+ years of RTL Design experience for FPGA or ASIC
  • Experience with FPGA Synthesis, Timing Closure
  • Experience with FPGA Debug in Simulation and HW Bring up
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL, Bash, etc.)
  • FPGA Design Experience with one or more High Speed IO Protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, CXL, DDR, etc.)
  • Experience with one or more of the following protocols: SPI, I2C, AXI, QSPI, USB, etc.
  • Experience working with embedded firmware and or device driver development
  • Experience developing C or C++ and debugging with trace files and debuggers
  • Experience with lab equipment (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Developing System Verilog Test Content
  • Experience with source control systems (Perforce, Git, etc.)
