AMD is seeking a full-time Senior Tax Analyst to join the tax team in our Global Services Support Team. This position will be passionate about the foreign tax provision process with some exposure to international taxes.
We are searching for an individual that is passionate about tax provision and wants to continue to learn, develop and progress in corporate income taxes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the foreign tax provision processes related to corporate tax for a US multi-national company Gather data and prepare or review foreign tax work papers for a sophisticated group of legal entities Prepare or review the quarterly and annual foreign income tax provision work papers and assist with responses to questions and inquiries from the financial statement auditors Assist in the reconciliation of the foreign tax accounts and preparation of tax account roll forward Stay current with changes in foreign tax law and changes in US GAAP Support continuous improvements in tax provision processes by exercising out of the box thinking to optimize efficiency Participate in special tax projects Supports ad-hoc tasks as needed
?PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 5?-?8?years?of tax or accounting experience in Big 4 or U.S.?and?International?tax experience?is?an added advantage.? Understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and Understanding of differences between local statutory financials to US GAAP. Understanding and working knowledge of uncertain tax positions, FIN 48. Experience in balancing and proving deferred tax assets/liabilities. Experience in preparing the return to provision work papers and analysis. Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively gather, assess, analyze financial and tax information. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure in a changing and diverse environment and manage multiple projects with short deadlines. Ability to design and build clear and effective workpapers and tax models Independent thinker who can work effectively in ambiguity. Self-motivated and confidence to independently address issues. Resourceful and results oriented. Passionate with tax principles and tax accounting. Experience in a using a tax provision software i.e. OneSource Tax provision (OTP) software, is a plus. Strong MS Excel skills required. Alteryx is a plus. SAP/ other ERP system knowledge is an added advantage.
Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or any equivalent accounting processional qualification.
